COVID-19 presented a unique challenge for the art industry. Since lockdowns were enforced last year, art could no longer be experienced in person. Altro Mondo and TALI looked to support Filipino visual artists by transforming how art is consumed online.
COVID-19 challenges Art
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting community quarantine in major cities in the Philippines, art galleries are challenged to rebuild their business online.
With the health crisis impacting the economy, art galleries went on crisis preparation and survival mode with the goal not only to sustain their business but also to support their emerging and established artists.

With the objective to bring the experience of art online, we developed and launched the Altro Mondo website which featured interactive exhibits and e-commerce, for a seamless integrated experience.
Art Appreciation Series
To further engage our online audience, we featured our Altro Mondo artists in the Art Appreciation series, where each artist explored the themes and processes behind their exhibits.
