MANILA, PHILIPPINES (June 20, 2023)Vans Philippines proudly join forces with the skate communities and local skate shops to commemorate Go Skateboarding Day, an annual event that unites skateboarders worldwide in celebrating the vibrant culture of skateboarding.

This year, Vans Philippines partnered with local skate shops, namely The Rail, Calle, and Quilla to host a thrilling array of local skate events at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City. Among the highlights is a Skate Clinic session, featuring accomplished riders from Skatemunchkins who imparted their expertise to empower children and girls, enabling them to grasp the fundamentals of this thrilling sport with over a thousand Filipino skaters in attendance. The electric atmosphere was sustained throughout the day and during the night, live performances by talented local artists such as Bird, The Chongkeys, Piledriver, Fall on Thursday, and Waiian kept the thrill alive.

Go Skateboarding Day, initiated in 2004 by the International Association of Skateboarding, has become the "official" skateboarding holiday. On this day, individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to take part in the joy of skateboarding. Traditionally observed on the summer solstice, which coincides with the longest day of the year, this celebration aims to foster a sense of unity among skateboarders globally.
